Alfab Racing & Family Rider Daniel Roos at Zandvoort GT4
Family rider Daniel Roos is driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 this season. Alfab Racing was down at Zandvoort Masters and ended up on the podium. Well done and congrats boys! We’re looking forward to seeing you on the top of that podium when you’re down at Spa-Francorchamps!
“There couldn’t be a starker contrast. The small Alfab Racing tent in the Zandvoort paddock, next to the bus in which drivers and mechanics spend their nights. Right next to them: the large Las Moras Racing Team and Racing Team Holland by Ekris Motorsport hospitality areas. Both Dutch teams doing what they could to please their guests during the only Dutch race of the season. Nevertheless, the Swedes were able to give the Dutch some resistance and went home with a third place finish.
It’s the third year the duo races together and they really work as a team. Their objective is to score podium finishes and at Zandvoort they achieved just that in the second race on Sunday.
“I like Zandvoort. I drove here once before in a Radical SR8 during the Radical Masters. It’s a classic racing track with tactical corners,” said Daniel Roos. “In the first race we miscalculated during the pit stop, as we left the pit lane too early. So that’s why we missed the podium. Sometimes the driver makes an error, this time the guy with the stopwatch. That’s racing.”
“I had never been in Zandvoort before. You got to have respect for this track. It’s fantastic, but tricky and technical. You need experience to go fast here and it takes days to get that,” added teammate Erik Behrens. “It’s hard to beat the Dutch, as they know every little secret of Zandvoort. It’s like David against Goliath.”
Next stop: Spa-Francorchamps!”
